ABOUT

Miel Celeste

I am an artist and creative, based in London, whose work surrounds the ecologies of ‘Otherness’. Paying particular attention to themes, of Utopias/Dystopias, Queerness, Sickness and Madness, in order to question supposed ‘baseline realities’, pulling on fractures in time. My practice highlights the insanity of reality, in order to build understanding and connection, within those who experience it.

My Practice incorporates a multitude of mediums, from traditional arts practices, such as painting, sculpture and photography, as well as more experimental forms of writing and performance making. I am particularly interested in the integration of digital resources into the ways in which creatives produce and present work.

It is important to note how my practice continues to follow a self- referential lens. I am situated within a Queer, Jewish, and Disabled vessel - And as such I’m endlessly questioning my relation to reality through this positionally.
